Davison Band & Orchestra Boosters

Marching band season begins with a 1-day mini-camp held at Davison High School on June 18 for the students to get to know the show music and get to know their sections and discuss summer rehearsals, then there will be a 3 day pre-camp held at Davison High School at the end of July, followed by a week-long band camp the following week at Camp Echo Grove located at 1101 Camp Rd. Leonard, MI. The entire marching band is expected to participate in both pre-camp and band camp, during which the show is learned.

The 2019 Davison Marching Band camp cost will be $360 - this fee covers the cost of the show music, drill design, camp accommodations, staff to work with the students at camp, the official marching band tshirts that are part of their uniform, and pre-game meals. The fee is split into three payments: $160.00 is due by May 24, $100 is due by June 7, and the balance of $100.00 is due by June 21 by check/money order made out to Davison High School or by making a payment online through Payforit.net . If you are unable to pay this amount all at once, please set up an alternative payment schedule with our Student Accounts Manager, Sara Eisenman, before June. Students cannot attend camp and participate in the marching band without paying their balance or having made arrangements for payment.

Pre-camp will be held July 24-26 from 10am-3pm. Band camp will be held July 28-August 2. Check-in at DHS for camp is 11 am, followed by a rehearsal on our field. The buses will leave around 2 pm. Pick-up at camp (no buses) will be at 11:00 am following a preview of the first song(s) of this year's show.

The informational letter mailed out in May can be found by clicking here and forms that are mailed in July can be found on our forms page, under the marching band information & forms heading, as well as a quick guide on how to survive band camp.

If your student requires special meal planning due to food allergies/sensitivities or because they are vegetarian, please go to the Camp Echo Grove website and fill out their Special Diet Request Form found here before the middle of June.
